President Donald Trump has declared that he will announce an "extraordinary" new health plan within two months and that health care will be one of the main objectives of his 2020 election campaign. Trump has repeatedly called for the repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, colloquially known as "Obamacare," and Republicans previously introduced a replacement called the American Health Care Act (AHCA), which ultimately failed.
