In July , the Office for Public Information Systems ÚVIS, yes, there really was such a thing once, issued the Standard for creating domain names in public administration. However, on January , , the Ministry of Informatics was established, ÚVIS was abolished and with it also its standard regarding domain names. The gov.cz domain itself, which was owned by the Ministry of Informatics at the time, was used for the needs of the public administration portal, which at the time was a better bulletin board with selected information from some gazettes, laws and an overview of life situations.



But at the end of January  "already" three years after the establishment of the ministry and Chinese American Phone Number List months before its abolition, the Ministry of Informatics issued a " Methodical instruction for the creation and allocation of third-level domain names in the domain gov.cz ". The methodological instruction had a recommendatory character, the Ministry of Informatics had its existence sealed, and there were few authorities that "jumped" onto the gov.cz domain.

The timetable envisages a transition in the period from autumn  to the end of , with the exception of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, which obtained a postponement until mid-.
